Indianapolis, IN – In what was one of the best games so far this year, the Calumet Christian Patriots handed the Horizon Christian Varsity baseball team their first loss of the season.

After an early 2 run Homer by the Patriots, the Lions tied the game up at the end of the 1st. The Patriots started to assert themselves over the next couple of innings, building their lead to 4 runs.

The Lions, though, began to make a run in the 5th inning. They scored 4 in the inning, only needing one to tie and two to take the lead.

In the end, the pitching of the Patriots held off the Lions.

Asher Harrison and Mason Burzynski each had 2 hits and 2 RBI’s to lead the Lions on the stat sheet.

The Lions will play the Heritage Christian Eagles JV team on Tuesday at 5:30 PM. The game will be at Veterans Memorial Ballpark.
